I acknowledge that if I ever had to fight Conor McGregor he could murder me with his bare hands, if he so chose to. Since that will never happen, I can say that he is a washed up fighter that is now on the downside of a career and any fight he takes is just a money grab.
Like, seriously, go box one of the Paul Brothers…
Anyways… the 33-year old McGregor hasn’t stepped foot competitively in the cage since snapping his leg against Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
If the Paul fight isn’t going to happen (which is fvcking should), it sounds like The Shell of McGregor will get back in the octagon. At least according to Dana White.
“I think so, yeah,” White told TMZ. “He’s doing all the right things with his leg. I’m hoping he can come back this summer.”
McGregor has lost three of his last four fights — including two to Poirier — and has slid down to No. 9 in the lightweight division (which may be generous).
Weightclass champ Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, Poirier, Michael Chandler, and Tony Ferguson are all ranked above him, and probably should be, if not more.
