The pyrotechnics at a recent Dua Lipa concert got taken to the next level when some fans lit off fireworks they somehow snuck through security at her show in Toronto.
Last night during the end of Dua Lipa’s performance at the Scotiabank Arena, a group of people on the floor appeared to light off some fireworks.
You can see here the video of the incident, but the tweet is incorrect as there were some injuries reported. At first glance it kind of seems like part of the performance, but if you look a little closer you can see how the fireworks are coming out of the crowd. The people around seemed pretty oblivious to the danger they were in.
Emergency services were called right before midnight in conjunction with the explosions, and three people suffered minor injuries. No hospitalizations though, which is good. There was also no damage to the building and the fireworks didn’t cause any fires.
The incident is under investigation and security tapes are being reviewed to find out how they snuck the paraphernalia into the arena and hopefully find the culprits.
I knew concert security kind of sucked, but I didn’t know they sucked that much.
