Former NFL running back Zac Stacy was caught on video punching his girlfriend before grabbing and throwing her across the room, into a television which then fell on her, all the while their young child sat feet away.
The video is pretty disturbing, but if you wanted to check it out:
The incident apparently happened on Saturday at the victims home in Florida. TMZ is reporting that the unnamed woman has already filed for a restraining order.
“He punched me several times in the head! I begged him to stop because the baby was on the couch just a few feet from where he punched me,” she wrote in the application.
“He then picked me up and threw me into my TV. The TV began to fall and he turned to make sure I wasn’t getting up. As I laid on the floor he began to yell at me, telling me I’m destructive. He then picked me up off the floor and off my feet and body slammed me into our son’s bouncy seat.”
She added that Stacy said “I love you” to the young child before leaving the house.
Naturally, she also said that she fear for her life and the life of the children.
She also said that she went to the hospital to be treated for a possible head wound.
The audio clearly shows her begging Stacy to stop the attack. She also immediately called the police afterwards, but Stacy had left before police had arrived.
Stacy was drafted out of Vandy and had a breakout rookie season, nearly gaining 1,000 yards rushing. He bounced in the league for two more years but a broken ankle ended his NFL career. He attempted to come back in the CFL with the Saskatachewan Rough Riders and then in the Alliance of American Football with the Memphis Express.
