Iceland Museum Gets “Big” Donation… A Mold of Jimi Hendrix’s Schlong

This is a blog I never imagined writing, but yes, you read the headline correctly. The Icelandic Phallological Museum (it’s a real thing, Google it), which is home to the largest display of penises and penile parts in the entire world, just received a donation from the will Cynthia “Plaster Caster” Albritton, who passed away on April 21st of this year at the age of 74. The donation was a mold of rock and roll legend Jimi Hendrix’s erect penis – one of a few that she did, according to an article by Men’s Health.

Plaster Caster described herself as a “recovering groupie,” so it seems that her “recovery” meant continuing to work with rockstar’s penises, just in a different way. Hendrix was the first celebrity of Plaster Caster’s artistic subjects, and the woman apparently made a career in the art world out simply by making molds of famous people’s boners. Later in her career, she even included molds of breasts and other female body parts in her portfolio. KISS’s song “Plaster Caster” is actually about Albritton, although she never worked with any of the members of the band.

In a 2020 interview, Albritton described her work with Jimi Hendrix, saying, “He was really laid back, relaxed, very quiet in the mould,” but she also revealed that she struggled a bit when Hendrix’s pubes got caught in the plaster she used.

So, if you’re at all interested in seeing a mold of Jimi Hendrix’s erect penis, as well as a whole bunch of other penis related art, sculptures, and more, head out to Iceland and visit their Phallological Museum. We’re not sure why it exists, but in a lot of ways, we’re glad it does.
