KD Beefs with Charles Barkley After Getting Swept

For the first time in his career, Kevin Durant got swept in the playoffs. The Celtics took the series easily in four games, and Kevin Durant along with the rest of the Nets are now enjoying off-season basketball.

After the sweep, Charles Barkley had some words for the status of Kevin Durant and his career, backed up by Shaq:

It was a bit of a sneaky insult. By calling KD a “bus rider” it seems that he was insinuating that during his two championship seasons with Golden State, saying that he was not the one bringing the team to the championships. It’s somewhat of a bold take to make, considering in both 2017 and 2018, when the Warriors won the NBA Finals, Durant was voted NBA Finals MVP. He went on to clarify that he though Durant was important to those championships, but he was not the reason they one, comparing him to Iguodala also winning Finals MVP.

KD, of course, didn’t stay silent on the comments. He responded with pictures on his Instagram story of Chuck and his former teammates with the eventual caption: “Where would chuck be without the big homies”

What we all need now is to see KD and Barkley hash it out on TV. KD is well known for being very ready to continue beef on social media, but we’d rather see him take a seat across the desk from Chuck and listen to them argue it out.
