Brian Kelly is bouncing from Notre Dame for a new opportunity — and a shitload of money — at LSU.

His team found out on social media and not from him, and so he rushed out a Teams text to the group.

No, seriously:

“Men … Let me first apologize for the late night text and, more importantly, for not being able to share the news with you in person that I will be leaving Notre Dame,” Kelly began.

“I am flying back to South Bend tonight to be able to meet with you in the morning but the news broke late today and I am sorry you found out through social media or news reports.”

“I will have more to share when we meet tomorrow at 7 AM but for now, just know that my love for you is limitless and I am so proud of all that you have accomplished.”

“Our program is elite because of your hard work and commitment and I know that will continue.”

What makes it hit harder is that he then called for a 7am meeting to talk to the team.

The meeting lasted a reported 11 minutes.

FVCK YOU, COACH… You woke me up for an 11-minute meeting? Eat a whole bag of smashed assholes.

Kelly will wrap his career at Notre Dame with a 113-40 record; having made the College Football Playoff twice, and winning coach of the year multiple times.

He also didn’t give Notre Dame a chance to match, apparently.

“(Kelly) did not discuss w/ me the conversations he had with other universities. We always are talking about the program’s needs & how to improve it & there was not anything identified at any time that was something we could not accommodate or meet,” Jack Swabrick, the AD of the Irish, told reporters.
