I know. I really do know. But I guess we’re living in a Parks and Recreation episode. Apparently, at a zoo in New York a couple male penguins have essentially adopted a penguin hatchling. The penguins names are Elmer and Lima, and they are now the proud penguin dads of a lil’ penguin guy. How nice.
Apparently, the two had to be tested because they had broken some eggs in the past, but when they passed the test the zoo people put a real egg in. And boom. Penguin baby. Gay penguin dads.
🐧🌈🐧 We have some very exciting news! The first chick to be fostered by a pair of same-sex penguins at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo hatched on January 1! Read the full news release here: https://t.co/NuVJMtLDde #Syracusezoo pic.twitter.com/nfbfiYL08p

Some sources say Leslie Knope will be at the zoo in the coming weeks to officiate the penguins wedding. Not really, but I’m still having trouble believing that Parks and Rec low key predicted this.
