Hugh Jackman is a recently-turned 53-year-old dude. He is also back to being ripped as fvck. Which means that everyone, myself included, is hoping that he is getting ready to do something X-Meny as Wolverine.

He posted on his Gram a pic of him getting a vax, but the needle isn’t what I was paying attention to. It was the gunshow!

I am ready for the return!

It is not the first time that Jackman has been discussed as bringing back his character but he has been denying the urge for some time.

In 2018 he addressed it by telling MTV’s Josh Horowitz that he would not be getting back into the role:

“I just hate those declarations,” Jackman said. “But I’m done. I’m done. Those things haunt you, in some way they haunt you.”

This summer he did a similar troll job with two posts on Insta about the role, leading to more speculation.

Stop teasing us, Hugh.

He has continued to deny the rumors, and linking his answers back to his role in Logan, which is where he decided was the end of the line.

“If seven years ago that had happened I’d be like, ‘Oh yeah!’ but I knew it was the right time for me to leave the party — not just for me, but for the character,” Jackman told The Daily Beast. “Somebody else will pick it up and run with it. It’s too good of a character not to. It’s kind of like, you’re on your way home and your friend rings you and goes, ‘Oh, dude, a new DJ just came on and the music is awesome, are you going to come back?’ And you say, ‘Sounds good but… no.’ They’re fine with someone else.”

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has become more of a fixture within the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse through the streaming of Loki on Disney + and it will only be expanded with the upcoming films Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Rest assured that Marvel fans will be anxiously on the lookout, hoping to see Jackman back as Wolverine. Shit, I would take it as a cameo for fanservice but there could be more as Marvel Studios hassssssss to introduce the mutants into the MCU.
