West Ham’s Center Back Kurt Zouma was sentenced earlier today to community service for attacking his pets.
The star defender will see no jail time after he pled guilty last week to hitting and kicking his cats. Instead, he will serve 180 hours of community service and cannot own cats for five years. To be honest, I didn’t know you could ban someone from owning a kind of pet, but this guy definitely deserves it.
Zouma’s brother, Yoan, pled guilty to aiding and abetting Kurt and will serve 140 hours of service and also is banned from owning cats for five years.
The judge, who sounded like a badass, had some words for the brothers, saying what they did was “disgraceful and reprehensible”, something I totally agree with. The judge went on to say, “As a public figure you must be aware that others look up to you and many young people aspire to emulate you.”
Definitely not a good example to be setting.
The cats have been taken away and are in the possession of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Zouma was fined by his team after a video of him abusing his cats was leaked, and a legal investigation followed.
What a dickhead, I can never understand abusing an animal. Hope those 180 hours are brutal man, fvck you.
