Pizza Hut is out as the official pizza partner of the National Football League and is being replaced by Little Caesars.
Little Caesars is the fastest-growing pizza chain in the world and already holds the number three spot for the largest chain.
The multiyear partnership will allow the brand to connect with the league and fans in new ways, highlighting, “social media games, new products, new packing, and unique promotions”.
Before Pizza Hut it was Papa John’s, so we see a decent amount of turnover in this extremely lucrative and sought-after partnership.
I’m personally not a huge fan of any of these national pizza chains, I prefer local joints, but Little Caesars can make a solid pie. Obviously, this partnership would have to be with one of the nationwide chains, and little Caesars has been marketing towards the football fan for a while, aiming to cut down delivery time and price so you don’t even have to take your eyes off of the game to enjoy their food.
So now in Madden instead of Pizza Hut ads everywhere, we will see the “Pizza Pizza” guy. I hope there’s a game mode where you can play as him. That would be hilarious.
