In what has become a new Christmas classic, Mariah Carey just rakes in the cash on the 1994 hit, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
A music ‘insider’ told TMZ that typically artists will make between $.003 and $.004 per stream, just on Spotify, per song. Well, with almost 1 billions streams — on Spotify alone — every year, Carey would be pulling in around $3.25M and $4.4M annually on the song.
That does not account for what she would be making on literally every other streaming service… YouTube video plays… and other royalties gained from the song being in movies and TV shows.
Their source said, “Mariah can sit on her ass for the rest of her life and ONLY promote AIWFC and still be a millionaire.”
It is a great gig if you can get it… tho, to get it you would have to write a killer tune and be one of the greatest vocalists of all time… so, good luck.
Anyways, here is to Mariah and let’s get her some YouTube ad revenue.
