Deshazor Everett is a DB for the Washington Football team currently in his seventh season of the NFL. He plays on mostly special teams, starting every game for the Football Team so far this season. Some of you may remember him for this blatantly dirty hit on Darren Sproles a few years back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCod7GpxvhA

Last night, he was involved in a single car crash in London County, Virginia. The police have stated that Everett’s vehicle went off the right side of the road, hit a bunch of trees, and then rolled over at roughly 9:15pm on Thursday night. Washington confirmed that Everett was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Unfortunately, the passenger in Everett’s car, Olivia Peters, was killed in the accident. She was taken to the hospital but died due to the injuries she sustained during the car crash.

Washington expressed their sympathies for the victim of the crash, but they also stated that they have no further comments surrounding the matter at the current moment. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and they have said they are working with the authorities to gather more information, which means we can expect a real statement from them once the police have determined the cause of the crash. Currently, the speed of the vehicle at the time of the crash is still under review.

One can only hope that this is not another instance in which an NFL player with more than enough means to do so, chose not to take an Uber.
