Why Is NBC and ESPN Stumping For Communist China?

My politics are simple: Fvck Communism. Really it extends to all things that lead to Communism… so, fvck Marxism and fvck Socialism.

Anyone who has cracked a single history book should be in on that. From there, policies on the Left and Right both speak to me. I am not a single-issue voter. I support the rights of all people… and if you say that, then you can not support China or Communists, or Marxists, or Socialists… because they do not.

Yet… both NBC on the Today Show ANNNNNND ESPN on Around the Horn, let people go off on how great things are going in China. (We won’t even mention Nancy Pelosi telling athletes not to speak out the genocide that is happening there… oops, we mentioned it… and linked to it.)

During NBC’s Friday coverage of the Beijing opening ceremonies, Guthrie called the moment a Uyghur athlete participated in the ceremony “provocative,” and described it as “a statement” from Chinese President Xi Jinping to choose an athlete from the minority group to participate.

It might as well have been typed up from the CCP.

“This moment is quite provocative. It’s a statement from the Chinese President Xi Jinping to choose an athlete from the Uighur minority. It is an in your face response to those Western nations, including the U.S., who have called this Chinese treatment of that group genocide and diplomatically boycotted these games. There will be much discussion about this,” Guthrie said.

If you thought that was the worst of the propaganda that you would hear on your Friday, well then you did not turn on ESPN.

The Worldwide Leader in Woke, decided to ‘shut up and dribble’ for the Commies.

Around the Horn opened with JA Adande spewing stupidity in the name of China.

“I think it’s standard in sports right now- you have to have a cognitive dissonance. You need to compartmentalize,” Adande said. “We’ve never had a more enjoyable NFL Playoffs in this country and we’ve never had more people watching the playoffs, and yet it goes on amid the ongoing allegations against Dan Snyder, owner of the Washington Football Team, and, you know, the continuous concussion concerns, and now the concerns about diversity in the allegations and questions about competitive integrity even, all of that, and yet we’re still enjoying the games.”

“And who are we to criticize China’s human rights records when we have ongoing attacks by the agents of the state against unarmed citizens and we’ve got assaults on the voting rights of our people of color in various states in this country. So sports – I think it is possible and it’s necessary more than ever to just shut everything out if you are to enjoy the actual games themselves,” Adande went on.

“Well, again, where can you choose that’s free?” Adande said. “And look at some of the other recent hosts of the games including Russia and some other recent places. It’s very hard to find a country that isn’t problematic when it comes to human rights, including here.”

“I think we can bring attention to it. I think its notable that we did have a Uyghur participant lighting the torch and hopefully this will be used to bring attention to it rather than to continue to place these issues [inaudible].”

You may have to see it to believe it.

So, according to Guthrie…. everything is fine in China.

According to Adande, asking someone to show a Voter Id is worse than rape, torture, labor camps, forced sterilizations, re-education camp, and separating men from their wives and forcing the women to have children with Chinese captures.

An interesting perspective JA. Fvck you.
