Will Twitter Cost Elon Musk $25B?

So Elon Musk is worth a fvckload of money. He is also recently, seemingly, red-pilled and taking to social media to engage with his followers.

Recently he was posting about the proposed tax on unrealized gains (which is a shitty tax, no matter your political leanings, you shouldn’t be taxed on money you didn’t actually make)… anyyyyyyyways… he asked his followers if he should sell 10% of his Tesla stock and with over 3.5 MILLION votes on the poll, people want him to.

He tweeted, “Much is made lately of unrealized gains being a means of tax avoidance, so I propose selling 10% of my Tesla stock. Do you support this?”

He also added, “I will abide by the results of this poll, whichever way it goes.”

Well…

Experts estimate that Musk has ~193 million shares of stock, which makes up about $250 BILLION his estimated $318 BILLION in total wealth.

At any rate, no word on if Musk has checked his twitter poll… or if he will abide it.

He also added an interesting tidbit:

“Note, I do not take a cash salary or bonus from anywhere. I only have stock, thus the only way for me to pay taxes personally is to sell stock,” via Tweet.

Which is odd, it is literally saying that he doesn’t pay taxes anymore since he doesn’t “make money” he just… has money? That is a nice problem to have.
