We’ve all had those nightmares. Our favorite cartoons turn murderous and come after us in our dreams. Unluckily for us, that dream is coming to the big screen.
Beloved and wholesome A. A. Milne character “Winnie the Pooh” recently entered the public domain, and horror films are already being made.
Filming for “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” wrapped up this month, and the public got a little taste of what was to come when some images from the movie dropped.
Pure fvcking nightmare fuel.
Understandably, these images set the internet ablaze. The film is still in post-production, but the team behind it recognizes the hype, and they are doing their best to get it released soon while also retaining a high level of quality.
Yay. I’ve always wanted a high-quality horror/slasher starring my comfort childhood cartoon.
The film will follow a Pooh and Piglet who have been abandoned by Christopher Robin and revert back to their primal nature, hunting and stalking to make sure they survive.
The film was shot in ten days on a small budget. We shouldn’t be expecting a box office record-smashing masterpiece, but this horror-comedy should be a fun, while somewhat disturbing watch.
