What makes a GOAT?

Every sport has a greatest of all time. For baseball it’s Mike Trout. For golf it’s Tiger Woods. For football it’s Tom Brady. However, one of the most heated debates as of recently has been, who is the greatest of all time between Michael Jordan and Lebron James?

This debate has been re-sparked due to Lebron becoming the all time scorer in the NBA. Lebron is on his 20th season played, while MJ only played 15 seasons. However, it is widely speculated that MJ would have played a lot more if it wasn’t for his gambling addiction. Even though he only played 15 seasons, he does have more rings than Lebron. Being the greatest of all time is a very opinionated topic. Though, in most sports there is a clear GOAT. But, not basketball. So the question I leave you with is, what makes a GOAT?
