Well, I’ll be damned. The public ‘outcry’ over the new Hooter’s uniforms actually gained enough notice that they didn’t even last long enough to hit the shelves in front of the store.

If you missed it, Hooters went the way of a different cut on their shorts and some people went crazy. From there, Hooters waitresses were taking to TikTok to express their frustrations about the uniform. Apppppparently, the new black shorts are “more like underwear” and waitresses are simply not having it…

Here are some of the images:

Not so much on others.

A spokesperson for Hooters clarified the uniform policy on Sunday to Business Insider, stating, “As we continue to listen and update the image of the Hooters Girls, we are clarifying that they have the option to choose from traditional uniforms or the new ones.”

More importantly Hooters didn’t back down all the way. The groups that that waitresses “can determine which style of shorts best fits their body style and personal image.”

FREEDOM OF CHOICE. Yes, we are here for it!

Hooters added that it, “appreciates the feedback, both positive and negative, regarding a more accommodating and inclusive image policy on tattoos, jewelry, nails, hairstyles as well as new uniform options — to include new top styles, shorts and the addition of socks.”

Some of the Hooters girls will continue to wear the new shorts, and showcase them on Tik Tok.
