When I saw that Selena Gomez was Nick’s girlfriend in the music video??? So close after dating Miley? I could not handle the drama.
It was such a sad ending to what looked like the greatest power couple of all time. I wish Rihanna back then could see how incredible her life was going to turn out. Then again, she probably manifested this and always knew. I remember tearing down my Tiger Beat poster of Chris Brown held up by that weird silly putty that took the paint off my bedroom walls.

I was so judgmental as a kid. How could Gabriella Montez do this??? But now, I feel so bad that this ever happened to her. She was only eighteen years old. So young. She spoke to Cosmopolitan magazine recently and said “It was a traumatizing thing for me. It’s really (expletive) up that people feel like they are entitled enough to share something that personal with the world.”
I’m so happy that Disney didn’t fire her. That would’ve ruined the next two High School Musical movies. It also would’ve been morally incorrect. But back then, we loved shaming women for their sexuality.
Looking back, her body was insane. She looked so good. Could’ve for sure used a ring light and maybe she could’ve picked up her room a little bit. But besides that, amazing work V.
4. Miley & Mandy Vs Demi & Selena
Back in the olden days, there was a little YouTube show called Miley & Mandy. Miley and her bestie made funny videos. Cute. Another popular BFF pairing was Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Now, Demi and Selena decided to also make a YouTube channel. Demi was super punk and just becoming very famous from Camp Rock. Selena was on Wizards of Waverly place and starting to release music. Miley, however, was already on Hannah Montana for a couple of years. She was the princess of Disney. Now, Miley and Mandy spoofed Demi and Selena’s YouTube videos. Some say it was bullying, some say It was funny. Miley says they were just joking around. Just remember, Miley had been dating Joe Jonas and now Selena Gomez was rumored to be dating him… so there was some animosity I’m sure. Either way, the drama was amazing. Also, never forget Miley’s “The rumors are true, I deleted my Twitter” rap.
5. Taylor Swift and Kanye West
“Beyonce had one of the best videos of ALL TIME!!!” If you watched the Taylor Swift documentary you know that this was traumatizing for T-Swift. First off, she was 19 years old. Second, in her documentary, she says that she thought when everyone booed Kanye for his actions, she thought they were booing her. To stand on the VMA stage and think everyone was booing you at age 19?? Maybe you think she’s being dramatic, but she was 19!!!! I thought everyone was talking about me at all times at 19. I know that this was probably killer for the VMA ratings, but where was the security to keep this from happening?? I would love to mention that when Beyonce won, she brought Taylor up to finish her speech. Class act.
