…What? Why? Who knows? Formerly playing for the Los Angeles Rams, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr is yet to renew is contract. Insane in my mind, considering he was one of the better receivers in the league last year by a landslide. After tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl this past February, his availability for this year has a big fat question mark on it. Why not pick him up for a two year deal though, LA? You definitely have the money to throw around I’ll tell you that!
His road to recovery won’t be easy, but with his absolute SMOKE of a girlfriend around and his newborn kid, I’m sure he’ll find a way to keep himself busy. Where could he end up though? I’m not sure if ANYONE is going to sign him, but here’s some of my thoughts. (PSA: THESE AREN’T IN ANY PARTICULAR ORDER)
1. The New York Giants
THE RETURN. THE PROPHET. THE CHOSEN ONE. HIM UNIVERSITY. This guy was a DAWG when he played in New York, winning Offensive Rookie of the Year. There was also this from IG comments… other than this though, no evidence to back it up tbh.
2. The Green Bay Packers
They have no receivers! I honestly think OBJ could be the WR1 today, torn ACL and all! With Aaron Rodgers reserving his room in the nursing home at this point, he needs a dominant receiver again, and soon. Allen Lazard is not a top tier receiver in any sense, as one would say, “mid as fuck.” I know Wisconsin isn’t a huge free agent destination, but Throw Rogan could definitely recruit a little.
3. The Buffalo Bills
This would be so, so dangerous. With former teammate Von Miller already joined up with Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and the rest of this loaded squad, there’s no way you could count this out. With Von and OBJ already good friends… so like, maybe?
These aren’t really crazy takes, but like, he could also just not get signed at all, so yeah!
