MIAMI, FL - JUNE 9: Connor McGregor and Mascot Burnie of the Miami Heat perform during halftime against the Denver Nuggets during Game Four of the 2023 NBA Finals on June 9, 2023 at Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. This past Friday, the Denver Nuggets beat the Miami Heat 108-95 to give themselves a 2-game lead going into game 5. If losing Game 4 wasn’t bad enough, the man who plays the Heat’s mascot, Burnie, had to go to the emergency room after Conor McGregor rocked him with a punch during the halftime show. After a left hook dropped the beloved Burnie to the floor, McGregor confirmed the kill with some ground and pound.

Unlike most of McGregor’s squabbles outside the ring, this one was a way for McGregor to promote his new pain relief spray. While it wasn’t in the plan, sending a guy to the hospital has everyone talking about his pain relief spray. McGregor will do anything to make some money. from iPhone games to whiskey brands, this guy loves a good side hustle. McGregor hasn’t gotten in the octagon since he broke his leg in his fight against Dustin Poirier 2 years ago, but his halftime performance makes it seem like he is more than ready for his upcoming bout against Michael Chandler later this year. McGregor and Chandler are opposing coaches on the current season of “The Ultimate Fighter” and are expected to fight sometime before the end of 2023. However, UFC president Dana White admits that there have been some complications in putting on the fight. That being said, McGregor looks like he is more than ready to get in the octagon.

League officials reported that the man who plays Burnie was given pain medication and then sent home where he is doing well. While their mascot might be in stable condition, their chances of bringing home a championship to Miami sure aren’t. With the Nuggets up 3-1, it looks like the Joker has a pretty good chance of bringing home the first championship in franchise history to Denver. Tune in tomorrow at 8:30 EST to see if Miami can extend the series.
