Margot Robbie may be the star of Barbie, but at yesterday’s premiere it was Dua Lipa who stole the show.
If you don’t follow pop culture, there is a Barbie movie coming out in two weeks with a star-studded cast. Last night, the Hollywood premiere of the film took place and while there were a ton of amazing outfits, Dua Lipa clearly won best fit of the evening.
The famous singer showed up to the red carpet wearing a completely see-through dress. Only wearing a white thong underneath, Dua Lipa left very little to the imagination.
Wearing a crystal mesh dress by designer Bottega Veneta, Dua Lipa shined on the pink carpet and captured all the paparazzi attention.
Dua Lipa lead’s the film’s soundtrack with her hit song “Dance The Night,” which she made specially for the movie. The song is currently #31 on the Billboard Hot 100 for this week.
The “One Kiss” singer actually makes her movie debut in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie as a Mermaid Barbie (whatever that means). Dua Lipa has said in the past she is interested in acting but wants to take “baby steps.” She is also set to appear in an Apple TV thriller Argylle which will release in 2024.
Ms. Lipa is apparently super excited for her acting debut to be witnessed as she posted a Barbie themed outfit the day before the pink carpet as well.
In her Instagram post, Dua sports a pink velvet mini-dress and matching thigh-high boots. The look was also put together by Bottega Veneta and is speculated to have cost over $13,000.
Despite the hefty price tag, Dua Lipa can afford to do and wear whatever she wants as long as she keeps releasing bangers.
