A couple weeks ago, I introduced you all to the NFL’s new shortest player Deuce Vaughn. Standing at a mere 5’5, the Cowboys running back is a sight to be seen out on the gridiron.
Well, this new college football player may have Deuce beat for the most impressive stature on a football field.
Meet Brione Ramsey-Brooks, the 455lb freshman offensive lineman at TCU.
Hailing from Dallas, TX, Ramsey-Brooks chose to stay in-state by playing at TCU. During his recruitment, Ramsey-Brooks was ranked as the No. 126 interior lineman in the country and No. 283 prospect in Texas, per 247Sports.
While deciding between schools, Ramsey-Brooks had offers from 14 schools. However, most notable on his list of offers was Arizona, Georgia Tech, Houston, Kansas, Louisville, and Oregon.
Due to his extraordinary size, Ramsey-Brooks has blown up on social media the past few days. Big Bubba, as his teammates call him, has already become a few fans’ favorite player before even taking a single snap.
Why TCU?
Personally, I’m shocked Ramsey-Brooks best offer came from TCU. No disrespect to the Horned Frogs, but don’t you think Nick Saban could have done something with this kid? I’m sure he isn’t the most technically skilled lineman in the country, but being the biggest has to count for something.
Big Bubba will never get mowed down or out powered. The only way you’re getting by this dude is edge speed. Good thing he plays the interior!
I don’t think you guys get how big this man is, so I’ll put it into some perspective. Aaron Donald — the best pass rusher in the NFL — weighs 284lbs. That means Ramsey-Brooks weighs a while Danny Amendola more than Aaron Donald. Imagine those two made a mega person and you get Big Bubba.
This dude is genuinely good too, here look at some footage.
Between his size and being his own personal hype man, it’s truly impossible not to root for this generational talent.
