Shitty TikToker of the week: Topper Guild
This man has some of the most staged content I have ever seen. It is almost satisfying to watch these two. The formula is always the same: guy preemptively has or sets up an oddly specific prank, girl is either distracted or “needs to potty”, guy does prank and then girl breaks my eardrum with a scream. Its no question that these are staged, but how are they popular? Every video gets anywhere from 1-10 million views but everybody in the comments knows it’s fake so who are these made for. This girl is inexcusably gullible and should clearly notice all this shit that’s going on around her… maybe that’s why they are popular.
I think I know what it is. Out of all the shitty tiktokers I have found these two have been simultaneously the easiest to criticize and the hardest to not watch. There is just something about the stupidity of each video that makes me hate them more and more but want to see just how stupid the next one will be. I challenge you to watch some of these and not scroll through at least 3 others and feel the cringe. They are also fun to watch because they weirdly make you feel smart. It’s like watching cartoons as a kid. You are distracted by the stimuli that you forget just how dumb the thing you are watching is. Like this one:
At first watch you’re like “okay yea I get it. He push girl into tub. Haha” but then you realize the glaringly obvious fake shit like how is she not hearing a plastic tub being filled with cereal and milk less than a foot away from her? How is she perfectly positioned on the coach for this man to pull this prank? Did he plan beforehand? Did he buy a tub and all that cereal just on the off chance that one day his girl will be napping at the perfect time? And then you finally think what the fuck do I care its clearly fake… what is the next one though?
