As reported by TMZ, the drama between Britney Spears and Victor Wembanyama has continued on with a new video of Spears demanding a public apology from the security team that slapped her while in Las Vegas last week. If you’re not aware of the story already, basically Spears was trying to get a picture with Wembanyama and was struck by a security guard as she reached out to grab Victor’s arm. Per usual, everyone has their own interpretation of what really went down in this video. Should the security guard have blindly swung at Britney as she approached Wembanyama? Probably not. But at the same time, how was he supposed to know it was Britney Spears? It could’ve been literally anyone reaching for Victor from behind – and a majority of the time Spears just looks like a mangled psychopath.
Victor Wembanyama is the biggest NBA prospect since LeBron James, so I don’t blame the security guard for being a little trigger-happy with fending off fans. It just so happened that the fan he smacked is a pop culture icon with a massive following. Honestly, I could care less whether the security guard gets an apology or not. I’ve just been enjoying the Twitter roasts from Britney fan pages of Wembanyama’s summer league blunders.
