Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has been suspended from team activities following the circulation of an Instagram Live video in which he appeared to flash a gun while in a vehicle with others. This incident comes just two months after Morant was previously suspended over a similar video. The Grizzlies announced on Twitter that Morant is suspended from all team activities until the league completes its review, offering no further comment.

In March, Morant faced an eight-game suspension without pay from the NBA due to “conduct detrimental to the league” after he was seen holding a gun in another Instagram Live video at a nightclub in Glendale, Colorado. The league’s investigation did not find evidence that the gun belonged to Morant or that he possessed it while traveling with the team or within any NBA facility. Glendale police did not press charges against him.

Following the Denver incident, Morant met with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver for an “open discussion.” Silver issued a statement emphasizing the seriousness of Morant’s conduct and the impact it can have, especially on his young fans. Morant expressed remorse for his behavior and pledged to learn from the incident, seeking counseling to manage stress and committing to being more responsible.

I don’t get what the hell is wrong with Ja Morant. He wants to be a rapper so bad and it’s actually losing him money hand over fist. After not making the All-NBA teams, Ja is ineligible for the Supermax. I’m not saying that these gun incidents were the reason he didn’t make the All-NBA teams, but there is no way they helped. His pockets are now 40 million lighter and he might be suspended for a good amount of time next season all because he wants to flex his guns. I’ve seen people argue that he needs to surround himself with better people and I 100% agree. His friends are the biggest snitches in the world.
