After not having fought for 3 years, Jon ‘Bones’ Jones will be returning to the octagon on March 4th, where he will face off against Ciryl Gane for the Heavyweight title. The belt is up for grabs since Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou was stripped of his title and released from the UFC. Jone’s last fight against Dominick Reyes went the distance where he won by decision.

While Jones is known as one of the best Light Heavyweight champions of all time, this will be his first fight in the Heavyweight division. I can’t wait to see his sheer power at 265 pounds. He has been absolutely lethal at Light Heavyweight and I think he might actually kill someone with that much weight behind his punches.

If Jones can make it happen at a heavier division, GOAT status would be pretty hard to deny. There has been plenty of talk about a future fight between Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones, and they have both been pretty public about their opinions on the fight. Jones has made multiple comments about how Francis wasn’t confident enough to fight him.

I don’t care how big of a Jon Jones fan you are, Francis Ngannou anytime knockout would be a money-printing bet. All he needs to do is land one clean punch and it would be lights out for Jones. I am definitely looking forward to next Saturday to see what the new Jon Jones has to offer the UFC.
