Williams is a high-profile player with a large social media presence that helped him secure a multimillion-dollar endorsement deal with Puma. He is considered one of the top players in the 2023 class, ranked 26th overall by 247Sports. Williams is part of a strong recruiting class for Memphis, which is currently ranked No. 7 in the country for the current cycle.
I don’t get this guy. As a 5-Star recruit, you are realistically about 14 months away from signing a multi-million dollar contract when you get selected as a lottery pick. Not only is he about to be stupid rich when he gets drafted, he already has a Puma sponsorship. Instead, you’re gonna throw that all away because you wanna assault someone with a firearm. Ja Morant was fined and suspended last month for going on Instagram Live in a strip club while flashing a gun, now you have Mikey Williams beating someone with a gun.
