The Bucs have just gotten their biggest free agent signing since Tom Brady.
Last season, Aileen Hnatiuk acted as a reporter for BRPround Louisiana, covering the Saints and LSU. After the Saints’ season ended, Hnatiuk posted a sign off on Twitter which ended up amassing over 7 million views. I’ll let you guess why.
Clearly, Hnatiuk is an absolute smokeshow. Unfortunately for Saints’ fans, she has now taken her talents to Tampa Bay.
Back in June, Hnatiuk announced that she accepted an offer to work as a sports reporter for her hometown station WFLA 8 Tampa Bay. In her new role, Hnatiuk will be covering the Bucs, Rays, Lightning, USF, and any other sports in the Tampa area.
After her announcement a couple of months ago, Hnatiuk has finally made her Tampa debut.
Sharing a photo with her 68,000 Instagram followers yesterday, Hnatiuk posted a picture of herself at the Bucs facility for the first time. Hnatiuk captioned the post “Fire the cannons!! 🏴☠️ #Bucs.” In the picture, she poses with her WFLA 8 microphone while sporting the Bucs’ red.
To no surprise whatsoever, Saints’ fans have begun to mourn the loss of their favorite sports anchor, while Bucs’ fans celebrate the new best part of their team.
Surely Hnatiuk can’t help the Bucs and Baker Mayfield win games, but she can definitely provide comfort for fans after losses. I mean, it’s hard to be upset when you’re so focused on something so gorgeous. The only downside to Hnatiuk joining the Bucs broadcast is that she may distract some fans from the game. However, considering the Bucs projected win total is less than seven games, I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing.
