Alright, just like every other soccer fan on the planet I am beyond hyped for the fact that the Champions League is just around the corner. And with that comes the ever-looming presence of predictions. So today I will answer who will win the Champions League this year and why it still isn’t Manchester City. (It’s because it never is).
Now in my opinion there are a few legitimate answers to who will win the Champions League this year. Obviously, the defending champs in Real Madrid are a great answer since they have only added more world-class talents. The perennial Goliaths of Germany in Bayern Munich are always in the mix. Even Barcelona is in the running because they have spent the absolutely unlimited money they have on so many elite players this summer. But I think that if ever it was the perfect time for a club to win the Champions League, it is PSG.
First of all their lineup is absolutely ridiculous. Their attackers alone are Neymar Jr, Lionel Messi, Mbappe. I mean that is stupid. I know what you’re telling me right now. “But that was their lineup last year, why didn’t they win it then?”. Well, the first change is that they have a new manager and that new manager has them at the top of Ligue 1 while scoring four goals a game. That’s pretty good in my opinion.
Additionally, last season Lionel Messi wasn’t scoring bikers, and Neymar wasn’t reversing time and re-entering his prime. I mean at the beginning of this season Neymar has already broken Ronaldo and Messi’s record of 15 straight goals or assists in a row.
I don’t know, I could be dead wrong and PSG could once again disappoint, but when they are scoring goals this quickly in games…it seems like they are too good to fail
