Well, it’s official. British TV is significantly better than America — and I’m not just talking about The Office.
Last night, on some station cleverly titled Channel 4, UK viewers witnessed a 15-person orgy on national television. That is 100% true.
On episode two of season two of the show Open House: The Great Sex Experiment, which aired last night on Thursday, contestants got hot and wild during an “after party,” which was obviously code for a 15-some.
For us prude Americans, Open House is a reality show where couples in committed relationships stay together on a sex retreat designed for them to sleep with other people. The premise is that these couples will “open” their relationships for the first time, in hopes of them leaving the retreat even more in love with a stronger relationship. Maybe it’s just me, that sounds like a terrible idea for those couples. For the audience, however, sign me up!
Though I’ve never watched this show before, last night’s episode had social media going nuts with many viewers calling it “the raunchiest show ever.” In the episode, married couple of eight years Chanice and Richardo decide to invite all of the other couples to their “home” for what they call an “after party.” When everyone arrives, the room is completely empty other than 15 sex addicts and a heart shaped bed. I’m pretty sure you can guess what comes next. That’s right, a mondo orgy.
While viewers of the program were beyond shocked to see everything unfold on cable television, most comments seem to indicate that people will in fact be tuning in again next week. I for one will be getting a VPN. If you choose to do the same, Open House airs Thursdays at 10pm on Channel 4.
