Hear me out. I know this is the USA so Football, Basketball, Hockey, and even Baseball will probably always come first. But if you’re ever bored one day then throw on a Premier League game. They’re actually pretty awesome.

Now as you may have guessed I love the Prem, and as such I’m looking forward to the upcoming season which actually starts in a few minutes. In lieu of that, I’ve taken the time to curate who I think will finish in the top 4, in the right order, and why. Now before I jump in I would like to say that I’ve also taken the liberty to add the betting odds for each team to win the Prem in case any of you feel particularly persuaded by any arguments I make here

  1. Liverpool (+250)

Liverpool is a club that’s actually owned by Fenway Sports Group, and their team is insane. For context, last season they won two of the four possible trophies an English club can win in a season, and they only got better. They added an attacking player named Darwin Nunez who grabbed four goals in a pre-season game. You add just that to a team who was two games away from winning four of the four trophies an English team can win and that’s a scary prospect.

  1. Manchester City (-163)

I’m going to be honest. Manchester City could also very easily win the league this year, but I think they have simply lost too much attacking depth compared to Liverpool. Manchester City did win the Premier League last year, and so maybe I’m still a bit salty, but they lost two of their top five goal scorers and goal assisters. That matters, because scoring goals is how you win games. I also don’t know if this is a hot take but I don’t think Haaland will adjust quickly to the Premier League.

  1. Tottenham Hotspurs (+1200)

Tottenham is a team that in my opinion won the transfer window. They brought in two solid Premier League proven players that probably won’t even start. That is scary depth. They also have two past golden boot winners on the same team, which is ok I guess. Additionally, they upgraded their defense, and have one of the best Managers in the League. I wouldn’t be surprised if this team was in the race for the title.

  1. Arsenal (+2800)

Rounding out my top four teams is Arsenal. Now I don’t think that this team will challenge for first place, but my god have they gotten better. If you wanna know how much better I’ll list off their preseason game scores. 5-1, 5-3, 2-0, 3-1, 4-0, 2-1 (their only loss), 6-0. Now I don’t know about you but that looks like a lot of convincing wins to me. Oh, and that 4-0 win? That was against last year’s third-place team, Chelsea.
