Amir Garrett: 1, The City of Chicago: 0

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI - JULY 25: Amir Garrett #24 of the Kansas City Royals runs off the field after a strikout during the game against the Los Angeles Angels at Kauffman Stadium on July 25, 2022 in Kansas City, Missouri. (Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images)

Kansas City Royals reliever Amir Garett had enough of the heckling he had been receiving all day from a particular fan behind his dugout, so he responded by throwing the water from his little Dixie cup at him. BOLD actions from Amir while being down 9-2 to the Chicago White Sox. The fan who was affected likely paid good money for those seats behind the opposing team’s dugout, likely to talk shit to men younger than him playing a game. Based on the boof excuse for hair he has on his head, I’m gonna assume he’s going through rough times, likely divorce or worse. Thus deciding to take his anger out on the WRONG guy. Garrett tweeted this out as a response to the incident.

I couldn’t imagine sitting wherever I am, writing stuff like this out, and then having some random stranger who reads my stuff come over and heckle me for being bad at it. Besides my parents. I feel like the whole DIY Ice Bucket Challenge approach was a little wild, I personally wouldn’t have done that, but that’s his call, right? The big leagues are a stressful environment, and Garrett plays for one of the worst organizations within it. On top of that, he has a 5.27 ERA this year with a career 5.12. Frankly, Amir Garrett is a shitty pitcher, plain and simple. He’s notorious for running his career with this Black Air Force mentality, which I personally love. He’s just a balls to the wall, high motor guy, which the game needs!

The Garrett in question

Fights obviously aren’t good, but watching the benches clear in baseball is absolutely ELECTRIC when there’s some serious shit behind it. On July 30, 2019, Garrett was getting shit on by the Pittsburgh Pirates dugout. The normal reliever would shake it off and move on, but Garrett instead charged the Pirates dugout BY HIMSELF. He tried to fight the entire team by himself! Obviously his team at the time, the Cincinnati Reds soon followed, but come on! This guy is a badass! He’s carried himself as a menace to the league and acts as such. The Royals haven’t decided if he’ll be punished for super soaking this fan yet, but I’m saying let the players play. This shit’s hilarious to watch and even better to be a part of! #TeamAmir
