Ah, Barca, Barca, Barca. You guys can’t escape yourselves, can you? After spending 153 m’s this offseason on names like Ousmane Dembele, Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde, Andreas Christensen, and Marcos Alonso to name a few, Barcelona is headed straight down to the Europa League. Which to be fair means that the Barca fans at least get to listen to a bangin theme song now.
Now to be fair to Barca they were dropped into the group of death. The group of death this season was group C. It was comprised of the German giants Bayern, Inter Milan, and Barcelona. You would think with all the money they spent this summer though, they would have been able to beat at least one of those two teams. Instead, they’ve lost to both, and on their second attempt against Inter, they drew. Which, yea, is not the best start for them to be honest.
At least in Laliga they are doing pretty well being top of the table without a loss in sight after eight games. If only they could translate that success to the Champions League. Or maybe we’ll all be really lucky and they’ll also begin to fail in Laliga. Regardless, I am loving the Barca struggles as a Chelsea fan because of what they did to us over the summer transfer market. Let’s just call this karma.
