This is not the hate article you think this is going to be, mainly because I do like Colin Kaepernick and his play ON the field. I have been a 49ers fan my whole life and I will not sit here and act like he didn’t lead us to the Super Bowl after Alex Smith got injured. He was good for those couple of years, but I will also not sit here and talk about how he should be on an NFL roster today.

Colin Kaepernick has been out of the league for 7 years now. SEVEN! Barack Obama was still in office when Colin was suiting up for the 49ers. The guy is 35 years old and thinks he could be QB1 for a playoff-contending roster.

I think this whole “Colin Kaepernick reached out to the Jets” conversation is hilarious. I reached out to Livvy Dunne once and asked if she wanted to go on a date. I got the same answer as Colin, none.

While I appreciate his thoughtfulness in trying to go out and get a job for himself, I think he needs to realize that the door has maybe shut on his playing career.

Things That Happened In 2016, The Last Time Colin Kaepernick Played:

  1. Britain Left The European Union
  2. Zika Outbreak
  3. Flint, Michigan Water Crisis
  4. The Cavs Came Back From 3-1
  5. The Cubs Broke Their 108-Year Drought
  6. The 2016 XXL Freshmen Cypher
