According to an article from CNBC, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is reportedly in advanced talks to be sold to Endeavor Group, the parent company of the UFC. The deal would involve forming a new publicly traded company, with Endeavor owning 51% and WWE shareholders owning 49%. Endeavor’s CEO, Ari Emanuel, is expected to be CEO of both companies, while Vince McMahon would be executive chairman of the new company, and Dana White would remain president of the UFC. The deal would effectively end WWE’s status as a family-run business. The deal is expected to be announced soon, with WrestleMania taking place this weekend.

Yes, I know that they are two different sports and I don’t need anybody telling me that they’re not going to fight, but I think this is so dope. You see NFL players like Pat Mcafee and George Kittle at WWE all the time, can you imagine if Jon Jones or Conor McGregor came out at WrestleMania? I think this is a great thing for both the UFC and WWE. I don’t think there’s a faster-growing sport than the UFC right now and you’re adding a loyal fan base from the WWE to it. I could even see them adding stuff to bet on in WWE. I also love that Dana White and Vince McMahon are still in charge after all the incidents they have had in the past. It just shows that if you do your job well, people close their eyes to the bad things you do.
