Could You Go Days With No Cell Service?

For the last 3 days, I’ve gone camping in the middle of nowhere. There’s nothing around except lakes and ponds for miles. The closest stores are 40 minutes away; if you forget a pillow, get ready to bunch up towels and clothes. I’m sunburnt, hungover, and my body feels like it has been run over by a truck. Yesterday was a day of rippin lips, and packin dips as we were out on a canoe for 8 hours pulling in hogs.

Just a little side note it is so hard to take pictures in a canoe, and holy fuck did I get sunburnt.

The entire time I was out there, there was no cell service. No LTE, no 3G, no 1x. The world could’ve been burning, and I would have no idea. There was no random scrolling on Tik Tok seeing girls dancing in little to no clothes, checking sports scores, and no 2 am drunk booty texts that get no response. I’ve camped here many times and didn’t care about having any service, but this time was different.

Maybe I’ve grown more addicted to my phone, but I think being online 16 hours a day every day scrolling through Tik Tok and Twitter trying to find blogs has rotten my brain. I feel like I have missed so much and feel so out of the loop.

Facebook has made a killing from posts like this.

Everybody’s grandma and aunt comments that they would do it for free as they are commenting on every Facebook post. In theory, it sounds easy, but we’ve all grown so used to the internet that after a couple of weeks, it would turn into the Shining.
