What’s up fast food fanatics, it’s your TFM resident tubster here! This is a huge week for new fast food menu items as we have six big name chains dropping featured products. I won’t waste your time with a boring preamble, let’s just get into the cholesterol-filled goodness we all love.
McDonald’s
Though teased for a little bit now, McDonald’s has finally begun selling the Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry. I don’t know if it made Fox News or CNN, but for us true fast foodies this has been a long awaited item. I for one am extremely excited.
Burger King
As of today August 14, BK sells snack wraps. In an attempt to compete with McDicks’ snack wrap game, Burger King has released three versions of its own chicken tender wrap. The three flavors are honey mustard, Royal sauce (I assume this will be like a 1000 island, special sauce type of thing), and spicy.
Krispy Kreme
The best doughnut chain in the game has kicked off its fall menu already. Though August is definitely a tad early, I’m personally never gonna complain about pumpkin doughnuts. Krispy Kreme is unveiling four limited-time flavors for the season which include, Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Swirl, Pumpkin Spice Maple Pecan, Pumpkin Spice Glazed, and a Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut. If you love pumpkin spice, the Kreme seems to be your personal heaven this fall. If you don’t like pumpkin spice, well just get normal glazed they’re still as delicious as ever.
Taco Bell
To be completely honest, Taco Bell’s newest item is the Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco which became available this past week. However, I decided to include them on this list purely as a reminder that this Tuesday is the first of four installments of TBell’s Taco Tuesday where they will be giving out free Doritos Locos Tacos to all customers.
Wawa
If you are lucky enough to live near a Wawa, listen up. Wawa is now selling pizza. Yes, in addition to hoagies, quesadillas, and burgers, Wawa will now serve pizza. The beginning toppings at this time are classic cheese, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and supreme. However, it is expected that Wawa rolls out even more toppings in the future. So, yeah it’s official. You can literally get anything from Wawa.
Rita’s
Italian ice and custard shop Rita’s has announced it’s bringing frozen lemonade to its menu. The frozen drink will be available in classic lemon, strawberry, peach, and even iced tea. I’ve never heard of frozen iced tea before, but it sounds interesting. If someone tries it, let me know your thoughts.
