Episode 3 of So I Was Like is out, (it’s on Spotify and Apple Music!!) and in it, we dive into the Frat Boy Experience. If you’re lucky enough to be a little out of the loop when it comes to talking to guys in frats, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Jason in Phi Psi who will one day inevitably work at J.P. Morgan and have a Seeking Arrangements account will be all yours soon!
The main debate we had throughout the podcast was whether frat guys want a girl who is fun, outgoing, intelligent, and herself, or a silent girl who sits in the corner. I voted for the corner girl, Alyssa voted for the girl who is a human being. (Which is what you should be. In like, life. But talking to guys in frats is not life. That’s why I voted for corner girl.)
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think fraternity guys are all bad, just most of them are. I’m kidding. I actually have a lot of great friends who were in frats, but that’s because most of them have graduated, so they’ve grown out of the pledging / hazing stage and are mostly normal now.
Listen to me closely: if a guy is currently a pledge, or if he has any leadership role over any pledges, you need out. Those guys need therapy more than they need a nice girl like you. They’re too busy being lined up in a basement eating sticks of butter, (or they’re the ones shoving the butter down the freshman guy’s throats), which is something they’d choose over having a girlfriend. Run.
Recording these podcasts with Alyssa is literally the highlight of my life, (listen here) and it’s all thanks to my favorite brand in the whole world, Sunday Scaries. They’re our besties and are giving all of you 25% off the entire site with the code “Stayloyal”!!!!
