Retire in Power to the absolute beast of a running back James White. I know most of the world may not feel the same way about this guy that we Massholes do this was a tough one to hear for me.

James White was never the flashiest Reciever in the NFL, nor was he ever the best. He never broke records for rushing yards, or YAC yards, or anything really. I mean, to be honest, I don’t know if he was ever the established number one running back for the Patriots in any of the years that he played for us. But none of that matters, because he was the number one running back on that drive. You know the one I’m talking about. And if you don’t well here is a little reminder.

Yea. He was that guy. The guy who not only scored the game-winning touchdown for the Superbowl but helped the Patriots to complete the most monumental comeback in Superbowl history. He was an absolute leader both on and off the field, and while he wasn’t the best back as I said earlier, he was always one of the most reliable. He won the Superbowl three times with Tom Brady and the Pats, and while yes it is Tom Brady, that still means something. He was a very important piece in the well-run machine that was Tom Brady’s offense.

Today was a tough day as a Patriots fan, but instead of grieving over what could have been this season, I will celebrate. Celebrate the fact that because of James White, this picture will always exist.
