Tragic news out of the baseball world today: Former MLB player and top five Moneyball character Jeremy Giambi has passed away at the young age of forty-seven. I already see some assholes speculating on whether or not he overdosed (against the Giambi family’s wishes), so I think we should just take a look back at his career. Giambi only played six seasons. Funny enough, he actually would have been a desirable player in modern baseball. Of course, people hear his name and associate it with risque pictures in Las Vegas and The Mitchell Report, but he was a career 807 OPS hitter- not too shabby if I say so myself.

PS: Can we get some good news from the Baseball gods anytime soon? Jeff Passan is one lockout tweet away from getting a Prozac prescription.

PPS: Yankees fans, stop using a man’s death as an excuse to resurface the Jeter flip. This is why people hate you.
