All the way back in October 2017, Christopher McDonald, or more commonly known as Shooter McGavin, was arrested for a DUI.
Now older celebrities getting arrested for crimes such as DUI’s is not necessarily crazy news, it happens all the time. But what makes Shooter’s arrest stand out is that he tried to use his fame and connection to his role in the Happy Gilmore movie as a Get Out of Jail Free card.
That’s a bold move Shooter, but you were the villain of that movie. Why would an officer give a fuck about helping out the dude who tried to take Adam Sandler’s grandma away from her house?
Unfortunately for Mr. McGavin, the officer did not let him off the hook. He was detained and later released without bail. Hopefully this event is a minor setback for a major comeback for the second best golfer that the world has ever seen.
