I’ve recently shared some blog posts about Taylor Swift in the past, and I must say, I really enjoy her music. It’s pretty good overall, especially her older works. However, I have to admit, the Swifties might be the worst fan group in America. They are almost on par with Eagles fans.
As you might be aware, Taylor is currently on a nationwide tour, and as expected, this has put the Swifties back in the spotlight. Recently, there have been a few incidents related to her tour that have brought them even more attention.
Plane Incident:
Our society has reached a new level of Taylor Swift mania, and it seems we’ve gone too far. A delayed flight out of Denver became the breaking point, as videos of the event went viral. The flight was filled with enthusiastic Swifties fresh from her Eras Tour, and the Southwest attendants cleverly played Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” over the speakers, sparking an impromptu concert.
While Swifties may find the scene beautiful, being on a delayed flight is already an unpleasant experience, and adding a Taylor Swift concert to the mix creates a worst-case scenario for any sane person. I can’t even imagine the anger that would be flowing through my blood if I was stuck on that plane. THIS IS NIGHTMARE FUEL:
Facetime Incident:
I watched this more times than I can count and I am not sure how to feel about it. Besides the fact that she is probably a little delusional, I know the guy she is Facetiming is holding back from just losing it all from laughter. There is absolutely no way he cant be. I have been in a similar situation and I know that she will be texting him as soon as the concert is over saying, “I’m sorry, I just really like you.”
