Tabloid Thursday: Taylor Swift’s New BF and the Met Gala

It’s Tabloid Thursday. Girls want you to care about whatever they are talking about, that’s where this weekly blog comes in. Every Thursday, I’ll break down the biggest stories from the last week so you can impress your wife, girlfriend, or the random girl you met on Tinder. The days of mansplaining stupid sports knowledge at the bar are over.

Taylor Swift’s New Boyfriend: As a Swifty, I really want the best for my girl. But I don’t think I have written one of these Tabloid Thursdays without her being in them. She is just in the news constantly. Tay Tay is reportedly dating Matt Healy from the band, “The 1975”. After Taylor split with Joe Alwyn, she needed a quick rebound and I reached out to her via Twitter with no response so she settled on Mr. Healy. He seems like a good guy. He is British so he probably has a cool accent or really messed up teeth. I don’t see this lasting very long based on the fact that he is the very definition of a rebound. If your girlfriend asks you what you’re favorite “1975” song is, reply with “The Sound”.

Met Gala: The Met Gala was on Monday and I will link all the outfits that I think everyone is a winner. I have always been a true Met Gala enthusiast. ( I didn’t know it existed until Monday) Dua Lipa was “slaying” in white. (as the kids say). Also, my childhood crush, Halle Berry, looked good as ever. I hope she wears that exact same dress to our wedding in a couple of years. A big story was A$AP Rocky jumping a barricade after showing up late to the Gala.

I know this ain’t the most thrilling news for all of us, but you know what they say – “Happy Wife, Happy Life”. So, next time you’re at dinner with your girl, drop some of the knowledge you gained from this blog and watch her face light up. Let’s be real, she puts up with our football-induced mental breakdowns every Sunday from September to February, so the least we can do is show we care, am I right?
