Some considered Lil Nas X’s “Satan Shoe” controversial … but Natural Light tweeting a photo of a shoe and just teasing us all? That’s a crime.
“We’ll see you down in hell @lilnasx,” Natty Light tweeted. “Dropping 69 pairs. Each made with a drop of natty light in the soles.”
If somehow you haven’t heard about Lil Nas X’s recent collab, he partnered with MSCHF to release Satan-themed shoes just in time for his music video for MONTERO.
Each pair of the custom Nike Air Max ’97s contain 60cc ink and 1 drop of human blood — 666 pairs were custom made and individually numbered, obviously by MSCHF and not by Nike. They sold out almost instantly for $1,018 on Monday.
The chances of Natty Light making them? Slim.
Nike filed a lawsuit against the company that customized the “Satan Shoes” on Tuesday and claims the shoes were “done without Nike’s approval or authorization, and Nike is in no way connected with this project.”
Nike also wants a federal judge to order the destruction of the shoes and to award Nike any profits earned by MSCHF from the sales of the shoes.
The Natural Light shoes may never come out, but the replies on the tweet are still worth the fake drop.
