3 Fantasy Hot Takes You NEED to See Before Drafting…

The NFL Season is right around the corner, and that means one thing: It’s almost time for Fantasy Football. Drafting a good team is essential to possibly winning a BIG cash payout at the end of the season, but more importantly, preventing yourself from sitting in last place. You don’t want to be that guy who has to spend twenty four hours in a Waffle House, hell, I wouldn’t wanna spend one hour in a Waffle House let alone twenty four. Here are three HOT fantasy takes you should take into account before you draft your squad.

1. Christian McCaffery is NOT a Top 3 Pick

It’s been the general consensus for years that CMC is a top 2 pick for EVERY fantasy league. This year though, with the plethora of high quality young running backs available to take, it doesn’t make sense to draft CMC. Over the last two seasons, CMC has played just TEN games out of a possible thirty two. With two solid WR targets in DJ Moore and Robbie Anderson, Baker Mayfield, or whoever the fuck else Carolina finds off the street who could probably do a better job, are going to be throwing the ball more than they have in recent years. As well, Chuba Hubbard had a breakout year last season, posting 612 yards on 172 attempts, with 5 touchdowns rushing. It’s likely that they’ll split carries to limit McCaffery’s injury risk. For this, I feel McCaffery has no reason sitting in the top 3 pick conversation.

Russell Gage, now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

2. Russell Gage is going to EXPLODE.

Russell Gage posted 770 yards on 66 receptions and 4 touchdowns last season with retirement home resident Matt Ryan throwing him the ball. Gage has since signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and now is in an offense ran by “Father Time” Tom Brady. With WR1 Chris Godwin not set with a return date after tearing his ACL in Week 15 last season, Gage is set to get BIG targets early in the season. As a team with a power back in Leonard Fournette, Tampa relies heavily on their slot receivers for check down yardage. Until Godwin returns, Russell Gage is absolutely that guy. His current ADP has him falling to the 9th round, so he’s a receiver that can dramatically effect your team early on.

Just look at those quads, Jesus Christ.

3. Saquon Barkley is going to have a MONSTER year.

New GM, new head coach, new line. Word from Giants training camp is that Saquon Barkley is looking as healthy as he’s ever been. Barkley has struggled with a string of injuries in the past, but with a revamped offensive line, he’s looking to blow up this year. With the Giants receiving core looking heartbreakingly mid, with the only upsides being sophomore receiver Kadarius Toney, and rookie WR Wandale Robinson, the Giants will likely be a run dominant team. With Daniel Jones on his make or break year, he’s going to look to be a lot more conservative with the football to avoid stupid turnovers like his previous years. Saquon Barkley is without a doubt a top 3 RB to watch this year, and contrary to years prior, will be healthy all season.

Obviously I can’t see into the future and tell you if all of this is going to be 100% accurate, but with expertise backed up by facts, I’m sure if you follow these picks, you won’t be the guy sitting in that Waffle House. Best of luck to all in your fantasy endeavors, may you prosper to the highest. Except those in my leagues. Be ready for a year of pain and suffering.
