In her new Netflix special I’m an Entertainer, Wanda Sykes addressed claims that she is a “woke comic” as well as taking shots at the greatest stand-up comedian of all time, Dave Chappelle.

“It’s pretty funny. If you want to give me the label of a ‘woke comic,’ that’s fine. That’s great. What makes me laugh is that they say that like it’s an insult: ‘Oh, they’re woke.’ Thank you! It’s almost like they’re angry that we’re evolving. It’s sad, really.”

What Wanda Sykes doesn’t seem to understand is that, other than “wokes” themselves, everyone pretty much hates woke people, and no one likes a comedian that’s going to stand on stage and preach social justice at an audience that just wants to get a few laughs from some jokes that would get them sent to HR at their day jobs. What’s actually “sad” is what she’s doing. And if you are going to go up there and do your thing, why not leave the actual funny people out of it and stop putting Dave Chappelle on blast? At this point, hating him is just way overdone. He wasn’t canceled, he’s not getting canceled, and he will never be canceled. The dude is a living legend, and the overwhelming majority of respectable comedians idolize him.

Sykes claimed in her special that she wanted to balance out the so-called-transphobic ideology of Chappelle’s recent specials, saying, “I think what he said was so hurtful and damaging to the trans community. But I know I wanted to say something, because so much has been said on that platform. I definitely want to [say] something on the other side of it.”

So from the bottom of my heart, I’m extending a cordial invitation out to Wanda Sykes to just shut the hell up. She’ll get a hundred thousand people to watch her special while a hundred thousand people tune into Dave Chappelle’s next one within minutes of its release. That’s because he’s funnier than she is. Why is he funnier than she is? Because “woke comedy” sucks, so it might not be a bad idea for her to take a page out of Chappelle’s book and start crossing a line here and there.

So yeah, Wanda, go ahead and claim being called a “woke comic” is a compliment. While we’re all lying, my penis is twelve inches long with awesome girth and always satisfies women.
