We’ve finally found something Xavien Howard can’t lock down: his own zipper. The superstar Dolphins corner has played great football on the way to Miami’s 2-0 record, which is even more impressive when you consider what’s going on for him off the field. X is currently expecting four children, with four different women.
The story broke after he pissed off one of his children’s mothers, and they found each other online. They began comparing notes on their situations with Howard. Weirdly enough, they didn’t seem to appreciate the similarities in their situations. I figured that they would’ve created a support group of some kind. Instead, they just shared Howard’s incriminating texts with the entire world.
One of the most interesting parts of this story is the lack of planning on Xavien’s part. These women claim that he has a thing for getting women pregnant. If that’s the case, you think he would try to align the pregnancies into one month. If he had a professional to make his schedule, he might have four scheduled C sections on the Dolphins’ bye week. Something tells me that he isn’t very concerned with the birth of these children, however.
I for one, am quite fond of Howard’s decision making. It keeps the NFL fresh. Every corner coming into the league wants to be the next Darelle Revis, or Deion Sanders. Xavien Howard is giving us a modern version of Antonio Cromartie, a lock down corner with more children than Phillip Rivers.
I think this story proves that the Dolphins are five years away from needing a documentary of their own. A team run by Mike McDaniel with Tyreek Hill, Xavien Howard and Jalen Ramsey on the roster can give us the off-field excitement that the Swamp Kings doc forgot to mention. They even have a soft-spoken lefty under center.
