I’ve written before about the unwritten rules of baseball, and there was no rule about shotgunning beers. So the old and crusty assholes can’t complain about this. This is the smoothest celebration I have ever seen. He calls for the beer, uses his cleats to crack the beer can, and then slams the shotgun.
This was from the Kalamazoo Growlers, which is part of the Northwoods League. It’s a summertime league of college kids going ham, and it’s great. Nolan McCarthy of the University Of Kentucky hit his first home run, and now he needs to do this after every home run. I want the entire team of the Growlers to do this after every home run. Shit, the entire home stadium should do this. That entire stadium would be buzzing, and I want to go to a home game there.
