It was a great weekend for movie theaters. In a weird time where theaters are seemingly being replaced by streaming, these past few days saw several movies have successful releases. Believe it or not, this weekend Scarlett Johansson joined Jennifer Lawrence in getting nude on the big screen this weekend. In Wes Anderson’s new movie, Asteroid City, Johansson has a brief full frontal nudity scene where she drops her towel and stands naked in front of Jason Schwartzman’s character. In a movie I enjoyed watching, this was obviously the best part.
Johansson’s level of impossibly good looks have made her the best part of each of her movies for her entire career. I’m happy to see she is finally ditching the MCU to star in a rated R project. There’s no denying that Scar Jo has a gift. But part of the value she brings to the table is wasted every second she is clothed.
Unfortunately, my fellow community of creeps over at r/celebsnsfw have not yet secured a high-quality clip of this yet. But you can still see it here. I apologize in advance that you’ll be able to count all thirty-five pixels in the image. At the very least, you’ll be able to understand why seeing Asteroid City in theaters is such a good idea. Quite frankly, all movies should be using blurry nude women in their trailers. Men would be running out to watch any movie that listed Scarlett Johansson’s breasts in the credits.
One of the funniest parts of this, is that Wes Anderson was too nervous to direct this scene. Johansson actually directed the scene herself, because Anderson was too embarrassed. Wes Anderson is no stranger to female nudity in his films. Ask Lea Seydoux. I find it funny that he drew the line at Scarlett Johansson. Did he get a little too excited? Maybe he had to hide somewhere his zipper area was out of sight.
No matter the reason, I can’t blame him. I wouldn’t be able to complete a day’s work after seeing Scarlett Johansson naked either.
