I mean what a freaking year for the Raiders. Gruden? Gone. Ruggs? Released. Damon Arnette? Now he’s gone too. Last week Malcom wrote about the fact that Arnette is being sued for an accident he allegedly caused last October, but him being cut has nothing to do with that. Nope. He’s being cut because he posted a video of him issuing death threats and waiving around a gun… scratch that, multiple guns.

Anyway. The Raiders are now down their two first picks from the 2020 NFL Draft. This is what Mike Mayock had to say:
“There have been a series of bad decisions over the last year or so, but we can’t stand, we cannot stand for the video of Damon with a gun, threatening to take a life. The content was unacceptable, contrary to our values and our owner Mark Davis has been very clear and very consistent that this is not how we will conduct ourselves in this community. The bottom line – the Raiders will not tolerate this type of behavior.”
Not to be too cynical, but if you supposedly don’t “tolerate” that kind of behavior – behavior that is “contrary” to your “values” what in the hell are you doing signing DeSean Jackson? Seriously. You’ve got all these issues with Ruggs and now Arnette, and you already dealt with Gruden being racist, misogynistic, homophobic – pretty much everything except anti-Semitic, and you sign DJax? Really? The dude posted Hitler stuff. What kind of a stupid decision is that? I’m a life-long Eagles fan, and even I never want to see DeSean Jackson play again. I think he’s a washed-up dirtball. But you pick him as the dude to bring in? It seems like the Raiders are just begging for issues at this point.
